Our Name

Why Wayside Communities Church?

Wayside – Jesus said, “I am the way” (John 14:6). As followers of Jesus, we stand together at His side. We also stand alongside the highways and byways of our culture to illuminate spiritually dark places with the light of God's truth.

Communities – In Christ, we embrace “diversity without division” as our various localized Wayside Communities develop uniquely within different geographic and demographic contexts throughout Austin.

Church – In Christ, we embrace “unity without uniformity,” that we, as diverse individuals, may all be one (John 17:21).
