Wayside Kids

Wayside Kids is a place where we teach God’s Word in a fun, relevant, and applicable way. We want children to fall in love with Jesus and desire to know His Word. We provide an environment where kids can learn about the Bible, memorize scripture, worship, learn to live in community, and also live out their faith throughout the week. And we want to meet your child at their specific age and stage.

What goes on in your child’s class?

toddlers + Preschool:

In our toddler and preschool classrooms children have a blast with activities and crafts that introduce and reinforce the teaching of their Bible story time. They also experience a great worship time. Preschool children also have a time of small group discussion and prayer.

k-1st + 2nd-5th grade:

Our elementary students also check-in at the kids check-in table in the lobby and then join their parents for worship at the beginning of the service. This provides kids the opportunity to experience "big church" and make worship a part of the family. The pastor will release the children to their teachers in the back after worship who will then escort them to their classroom for a time of Bible teaching, small group discussion, and games/crafts that help them apply the teaching of Scripture to their lives. 

The safety of your children is a high priority. All of our volunteers have been thoroughly screened and background checked. When you check in your children at the Wayside Kids check-in table there you will receive a claim tag with a code that will match your child's tag. You may walk them to their classroom when you drop them off (or to the adult worship area if they are in elementary). When you pick them up, you will hand your claim tag to a children’s worker at the pick-up table in the lobby and they will get your child and bring them to you. If you misplace your tag, be sure to have your ID handy.

Also, we don’t provide snacks due to the risk of food allergies/preferences. We want to help all parents feel comfortable and keep kids safe.
