As followers of Christ in the local church, we need to see ourselves as fully interdependent members of ONE body.
1 Corinthians 12:1-11 "True Spirituality"
When we view spiritual gifts in a selfish, individualistic way, we compare and covet, and the church is divided. In today's passage Paul stresses that the gifts of the Spirit are distributed out to each person according to God's will for the purpose of building up the church rather than building up ourselves.

Sometimes church discipline is the most loving thing we can do. In this passage, Paul instructs the Church in Corinth on how to handle unrepentant sin within the body of Christ.
1 Corinthians 1:18-25 "Fact or Foolishness"
We are celebrating Easter this year by revisiting 1 Corinthians 1:18-25. Ultimately, every human must decide if the Resurrection is fact or a matter of foolishness.

We are pausing our series on 1 Corinthians to celebrate Palm Sunday. Today, we recognize that Jesus entered Jerusalem as a wise and humble King, not a weakling.
1 Corinthians 4:1-17 "Under-Rowers and Stewards"
In today's passage, Paul confronts the Corinthians for foolishly measuring by the world’s standards. This mistake is leading to pride and divisions as they seek to impress human judges. Instead, Paul shows them that they should be obedient to Christ alone, and they are accountable to Christ alone.
1 Corinthians 3:18-23 "Humbly Embracing God's Wisdom"
In today's passage, Paul implores the Corinthians to reject worldly wisdom by humbly embracing God's wisdom. Chris reminds us that in order to embrace God's wisdom we must avoid two common pitfalls-- thinking too highly of ourselves, and thinking too highly of others.
